You’d think Lois Norby might be slowing down. "Not really," says her husband Kent, "But we did trade the speedboat for a pontoon." Lois is in constant motion, the go-to volunteer for any organization who needs her help.
"It started in Junior League," says Lois. "I think they do a great job of training a volunteer service mentality. I have never stopped." She used her skills as the volunteer coordinator for Minnetonka Public Schools, and has played active roles in the United Way, YWCA, the Landscape Arboretum among others.
Growing up in Montana, she wandered the big sky country helping her folks with their ranch, "we even had a sheep drive, from one mountain range to another." So it only makes sense that the couple often go to their own Montana retreat, and their three boys’ families often join them, "cowboy hats and all."
Even in Montana, E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E knows Lois. She's giving back to her beloved Montana State, as Chairwoman of the MSU Alumni Foundation Board of Governors.
