Increasingly nonprofits are discovering leaders like Diane Cross, currently President and CEO of Fraser, one of the region's most respected. She's led Fraser, which provides housing, healthcare and education for children and adults with disabilities, for over 25 years.
When she started, Fraser had a million dollar budget and served about 200 clients, as it had since 1935 when it was founded by Louise Whitbeck Fraser. Now, with a staff of over one thousand, Fraser's budget is over $46 million annually. The Fraser School and the Fraser Center of Autism Excellence provides support, therapies, even housing for those anywhere on the spectrum.
Diane has helped set new standards for nonprofits in many measurement categories. She has been recognized nationally for her work, especially in the field of autism. In her spare time, "I like meeting with others to help them avoid some of the challenges we all face in the non-profit world," Diane says.
