When his first daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, Allan Caplan couldn't find the support she needed, so he co-founded the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Now, nearly 40 years later, he is still solving problems in his own creative fashion as one of Minnesota’s best criminal defense attorneys.
"It's really what I do," he says today. "When people are being confronted with circumstances unlike they have ever experienced, they need a creative advocate," he says.
From simple DWI's to murder, Allan has helped thousands navigate their way through - and out - of the system. A good friend to many, Allan relaxes by traveling ("Italy, Aspen, we'll go anywhere"), working out daily and watching his Vikings.
"I went to the Vikings ticket expo fully intending to cancel my tickets," but somehow he ended up with new tickets in a special area. "Some people drink, others may gamble, but hey, I like watching football from nicer seats," he laughs.
